England continues its UEFA Campaign Women’s Nations League on Friday night when they receive Belgium in Ashton Gate.
The lionesses are currently at level with Portugal at the top of Group 3 after claiming a significant 1-0 victory over the world champions Spain at the end of February. After having attracted Portugal the day one, England avenged the final defeat of the 2023 World Cup courtesy of a strike by Jess Park.
Meanwhile, Belgium sits at the bottom of the classification after successive defeats, with close losses in Spain and Portugal leaving them in a difficult position. They will be desperate to alter the probabilities in Bristol this week and can become comfort to defeat England during their campaign of the League of previous nations.

Sarina Wiegman has welcomed Beth Mead and Fran Kirby to England team After the injuries prevented them from joining the national team in February. Manchester City goalkeeper Khiara Keating also returns.
Maisie Symonds has earned a first senior call that impressed with Brighton & Hove Albion and those under 23 years in England and joins a band of family faces.
Symonds will rub shoulders with characters like Park, Keira Walsh and she touches in the center of the field, while Lauren James, Alessia Russo and Chloe Kelly have been included in the last third. Chelsea Millie Bright’s trio, Lucy Bronze and Niamh Charles are not surprising inclusions and everyone could begin.
England Predict Alignment vs Belgium (4-3-3): EARPS; Bronze, Williamson, Bright, Charles; Clinton, Walsh, Tone; Kelly, Russo, James.
Laura de Neve de Anderlecht was initially called to Elisabet Gunnarsdottir, but the center-stands has been replaced by Jasmien Mathys due to an injury.
Leicester City’s duo, Janice Cayman and Sari Kees, are included, the first one enjoys a particularly impressive campaign in East Midlands, while Amber Tysiak of West Ham United and Justine Vanhaevermaet of Everton are other representatives of the female super league.
Belgium will rely on the goal skill of the Inter veteran Tessa Wullaert on Friday. She scored her 88th international goal against Spain in February and an orthopedic device the last time England played.
Belgium prediction align vs. England (4-3-3): Evrard; Janssens, Tysiak, Kees, Cayman; Abdulai, Vanhaevermaet, Missipo; Janssen, Wullaert, Eurlings.
England will be a strong favorite for Friday’s clash, but its recent exits against Belgium suggest that this could be a stricter issue than many expect. A 1-0 narrow victory and a 3-2 defeat in the campaign of the League of the previous nations shows that the lionesses cannot afford any complacency in Ashton Gate.
However, Wiegman’s side will fly high after his impressive victory over Spain last time and should have too much fire power for Belgium on this occasion.
