During the Wednesday, December 25, episode of his “Amy and TJ” PodcastHolmes, 47, and Robach, 51, answered fans’ questions about proposing on Christmas Day, and Robach made it clear that she doesn’t want to commit on a holiday.
“I learned that no one should congratulate the bride after a proposal or a wedding,” he said. “You should congratulate the groom because he is lucky to have her. But maybe that’s old fashioned.”
Holmes mocked the comment, adding, “Luckily, I say it every day.” He continued to shut down any speculation about whether he planned to pop the question over the holidays.
“And no, obviously, for anyone wondering, there won’t be a Christmas Day proposal,” he said.
Elsewhere in the episode, Holmes asked Robach. What days did they propose to you? in the past.
“Random days that didn’t matter,” he recalled. (Robach was married to Tim McIntosh from 1996 to 2008 and Andres Shue from 2010 until their divorce was finalized in 2023.)
Holmes, who was married to Amy Ferson from 2004 to 2007 and Marilee Fiebig from 2010 to 2023He seemed to take a dig as he recalled his own proposals and stated, “Random and insignificant (which) I think is one way to describe a lot.”
The couple has often used their podcast, which they launched in December 2023, to offer glimpses into the dynamics of their relationship. The joint venture emerged a year after the previous GMA3 The co-stars made headlines for feeling comfortable outside the office.
Robach was married to Shue, 57, and Holmes was married to Fiebig, 47, at the time. Robach and Holmes filed for divorce after their relationship was exposed in November 2022 and have since claimed that their respective marriages ended before they began dating. Shue and Fiebig, for their part, have moved on and are dating.
Earlier this month, Robach and Holmes surprised listeners. when the subject of a commitment was raised.
“It’s not an if, it’s a when. I like that. I actually appreciate it,” Robach said before revealing how Holmes turned her down when she asked if he could propose. “TJ, you told me I should never propose to you.”

holmes seemed surprised by Robach’s statement, to which he added: “Remember we were talking about women proposing to men? But I’m just saying that if I answer this, I feel like part of it would be me saying when I’d like to get married.”
Robach continued: “Obviously we don’t have a date and we haven’t even decided what we’re going to do. (But) I said I want to and I would like to do it in the fall (and) that would be like me proposing to you.”
According to Holmes, he and Robach it would be a married couple “Sooner rather than later.”
“I say this based on my exclusive conversations with the bride,” he joked. “I say that because we are not trying to solve things. We’re not trying to see if we want to be together. We are not trying to do a test to see if this can work. “That’s not where we are.”
Holmes confirmed that “a decision has been made” about her and Robach’s future, noting, “When we get married, that will be a byproduct of what’s happening. And it is yet to come.”
Meanwhile, Robach hinted that the couple has “talked about marriage”but I haven’t talked about a wedding.
