A suspect is in custody in connection with the brutal murder of a 17-year-old boy high school cheerleader who was found stabbed to death in California days before Christmas.
Angelina Camillia Gonzales’ family claims that the culprit is the young woman’s ex-boyfriend.
Gonzales’ family said local station KABC that her ex-boyfriend picked her up at a cheerleading banquet and brought her back to her house on December 20.
Around 10 p.m., Azusa Police Department officers found Gonzales suffering from stab wounds. Police said she was rushed to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

“When I got there, there was already crime scene tape, forensics and all kinds of stuff. And I ran up to the officers and said, ‘Hey, my daughter is there. You know, my daughter is there. I’m there.’ . trying to find her. She’s not home. And that’s when they told me, sit aside for a minute,” Robert Caraballo, Angelina’s stepfather, told KABC.
